Maribel Modrono – Level 1 EQUESTRIAN PILATES® Mat Instructor

 

Maribel a career as a Principal ballerina for over 20 years with Miami City Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She now lives in Miami with her husband whom she met at Miami City Ballet while she was dancing.

Her passion in horseback riding began when they were living in PA -­ an odd hobby for a dancer but instantaneously became an obsession and a calling. She
never imagined the similarities between dance and equestrian sports to be so comparable.

Maribel discovered Pilates towards the end of her ballet career when just after one session ascertained how much easier her body moved athletically. Pilates
became a habitual part of her life and was finally certified as a Pilate’s teacher on all Apparatus. She has exceeded her 1200 hours teaching Pilates.

Having encountered EQUESTRIAN PILATES® and realizing the benefits it has for all riders, she embarked on her certification. Maribel is now prepared to
help all riders achieve better balance through EQUESTRIAN PILATES®, leading to a healthier future and more accomplished rides.
