Shannan has worked in the fitness industry as a Certified Personal Trainer for over 12 years and as Certified Pilates instructor for over four years.

When she started riding several years ago she found herself instantly trying to apply the Pilates Method she knew to her developing riding skills. After feeling in her body the wonderful results of applying Pilates’ principles to riding she sought out a certification program for the equestrian . . . EQUESTRIAN PILATES®!

Shannan now combines her Pilates skill with her new riding skills to help riders improve and strengthen postural imbalances with corrective exercises to boost performance and/or alleviate pain. By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on fluid movements, EQUESTRIAN PILATES® elongates and strengthens muscles, improving flexibility and joint health.
